Does your cemetery have a special section for different religions?
-
Fairhaven is a nondenominational, nonsectarian cemetery. We serve all
religions and all faiths.
Do you own the land when you get the deed?
-
No. The deed entitles you to one interment right or two or more if so stated cemetery property location.
How can I place two interments in one property location?
-
An additional interment right may be purchased in designated areas for
casketed or cremated remains. The first interment is made at a lower
depth and the second at standard depth when both interments are caskets.
-
A Columbarium is a structure with niches (small spaces) for placement
of cremated remains in urns or other approved containers. It may be
outdoors or part of a mausoleum.
-
A crypt is a space in a mausoleum or other building to hold casketed
human remains or cremated remains in an urn.
-
Disposition is the placement of whole human remains or cremated remains
in their final resting place. A Permit for Disposition must be filed
with the local registrar before disposition can take place.
-
A niche is a space in a columbarium, mausoleum, or niche wall to hold
an urn.
